[OSM-newbies] keys & values /JOSM

Hi,

is there any way to include the full list of approved keys and values into 
JOSM? The way it is now, I see the danger, that if the desired key is not 
included the user will type it and might make a mistake (e.q. "traffic 
signal" instead of "traffic signals" or true instead of yes) My solution is 
to download a biger area hoping that there the keys are included. What is 
for example the difference between amenity/parking and the key parking.
