Add the following line to rc.local anyway.

echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling

Whilst that may not solve this problem it will save you having some 
problems in the future with broken routers on the internet.

I read somewhere that spaces in directory was causing malformed requests.
