[OSM-newbies] How to map a place that allows to cross a waterway=stream

Please don't use ford. I have no objection to using highway=ford on 
footways where there really is a ford, but if there isn't one it is 
downright misleading and would be seriously annoying if you arrived 
expecting one, possibly fatal for someone who pressed on in the wrong 
conditions.
