You could
1) download the relevant area in JOSM
2) add a node where your house is, and tag it say as railway=station
3) save the data to your computer hard disk, but don't upload it
4) open the data in Kosmos, http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Kosmos, and you'll see a red square where your house is, and you can print the map straight from Kosmos.

Subject: [OSM-newbies] how can I take a piece of map,add my house and print it please
Hi I have been maping Dublin area since November and as there is a meeting planned shortly at my house I would like to take a piece of the map and then add my house to it and print. But without putting my house on the real map. I hope it is not too difficult but I need your help please as to how I should do it.
Thank you
