The best way to do this is to create a relation for the whole system and add
the individual ways to the relation. This page explains the route relations
concept:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Relation:route

To create one in Potlatch, select one of the ways, then click on the button
with a chain link on the right ("add to a relation"). Create a new route
relation with the name "Kildaire Farms Trails". When you click on the next
way, repeat the process but choose the relation you have created from the
list.

Exactly how these relations should be rendered is work in progress.
