Use the "add node tool" (press "A"), and hold the shift key, to add a node
about 20 meters away from the intersection, for all of the 4 incoming
roads.

Using the "select" tool, click on one of those nodes. Press "P", which is
the "split way" tool. Repeat for all the 4 nodes.

Using the "delete" tool, delete the road fragments between the
intersection and the new nodes.

You should have something like (ascii-art follows):

    |
    |
    o
--o o--
    o
    |
    |

Now, switch back to the "add node tool", and draw the roundabout, re-using
the existing nodes.

------

Alternative way:

1-Use the "add node" tool to draw the complete roundabout.

2-Use the "select" tool to select one of the four roads, *AND* the point
of intersection with the roundabout (hold shift).

3-Press "P".

4-Repeat 2 and 3 for every road.

5-Use the "delete" tool on the ways that are inside the roundabout.
