It just asks the database for all the GPS points in a given bounding  
box. It then joins them up based on which track they are (which is  
stored in the database).

Not at present. There's no technical reason why not, but there could  
be privacy concerns (and, obviously, even if such a feature were  
implemented, it would only identify public tracks). I'd be interested  
to hear others' opinions.
