[OSM-newbies] Updates not appearing

Hello,

 

I'm ( completely ) new to GPS and Mapping,

but read somewhere in the manuals that changes may take up to A WEEK before
appearing on the central map.

 

So patience might be the answer!

I observed the same behaviour the day bevor yesterday. I deleted some

nodes of a way, uploaded the changes (log in Java-Window said "OK" and

no error-message showed up). When I imediately checkd the same area in

the data-layer the nodes where still there. Downlading the area with

JOSM the nodes where also present.

 

Tried the same yesterday: No problem. The nodes were vanished after

upload.

 

I think the API had still some hick-ups... :(
