[OSM-newbies] Stepping stones?

But after I posted that, it was pointed out that highway=stepping_stones 
already existed and was in use. It just wasn't (isn't?) in the wiki.

Also subsequently, it was suggested that this was after all just a 
particular case of "ford" which I had been interpreting too narrowly. I 
found that quite persuasive. However, if "fording" always involves 
getting wet (vehicle or person), maybe less so. The stepping stones I 
was mapping will sometimes be under water when the river is high, but 
often not.

So I am inclined to stay with highway=stepping_stones. It would be nice 
if the renderers knew about it, but obviously that can't be done until 
it is stable.
