[OSM-newbies] Coastline issues?

I have been cleaning up the harbor coastline near Duluth, MN, USA.

When I look at the Osmarender layer to see how my edits were rendered,
the water is not symbolized.  My guess is that I did something to
screw up the topology of the coastline.

One suspect edit is where the coastline followed a high bridge across
the harbor.  I removed the segment of way that incorrectly connected
the two sides of the harbor and tried to connect the ways denoting
each side of the bay underneath the bridge on their respective sides.

Can anyone take a look at this and confirm that this is the case (or
suggest what the problem could be?

I hate to revert back because I did a lot of detailed tracing.  I
would much rather just fix the issue.
