Yes, bring your laptop.  Sarah will have GPS receivers and the  
necessary cables.  If you want to be super-plus helpful, go to http://gpsbabel.org 
  and download it onto your laptop.  That's needed to suck the data  
out of the GPS receiver.  You might also want to have JOSM installed.  http://josm.openstreetmap.de 
  .  Don't worry about configuring or using them -- Sarah is a great  
teacher.
