That is the "proper way" you could use the same nodes but you need to have.

1. A Way for the Road,
2. A Way For the Stream
3. A Way For the Hedge
4. A Way for the Field
5. A Node for any Gates into field (that is through the hedge)
6. A Node for the football posts (if you like)

Any of the Nodes that make up the ways can be shared by a number of
different ways.

Of course I might be wrong.
