[OSM-newbies] Difficulty in viewing OSM map - Where I'm up to (sadly)

Andy asked me to:

 

"1) Do you see tiles when you go to any other osm-related website? Try

the following:

 

http://www.opencyclemap.org (try the default and "Fresh" layers)

http://www.informationfreeway.org (try the default and "Mapnik" layers)

http://maps.cloudmade.com

 

Let us know the outcome of the five tests and it might help."

 

Opencylemap  only shows "More OpencycleMap coming soon" tiles - but opened
very quickly.  "Fresh" layer made no difference but was slower to load.

Informationfreeway only shows a blue screen - but like Opencyclemap has the
zoom scale, map scale etc on the sides.  Mapnik made no difference.

Maps.cloudmade opened a geographic map of Europe very quickly!

 

I also tried    http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php and got the tile map

 

2) I will send in a moment or two.
