[OSM-newbies] Slippymap plug in causes JOSM out of memory errors

Disabling autozoom and setting zoom level to a low enough value should help.
There’s also a setting for max zoom level, but in my experience it changes
spontaneously against my will. If you really need a high zoom level, you
should perhaps disable ‘autoload tiles’ and manually download only the tiles
you’re relay interested in.

I’m using JOSM 1515, Windows XP Pro, Xmx1280M.  Without slippymap I can load
areas 20 miles square or more.  With slippymap, I get an out of memory error
at a square mile or less.  Any advice would be appreciated.
