[OSM-newbies] Unnamed Ways - language

I am using the macro CreateIMG-beta04 to download OSM maps and convert them
to Garmin IMG format. This works fine, except that unnamed ways seem to
acquire names in Italian. For example 'Strade Locale' or 'Torrente'. Can
anyone suggest how I can either convert these to English or remove them
altogether?
