[OSM-newbies] Any purpose for both an closed way, and a separate node in the centre?

This "name within the area" is one of the cartography improvements
that is on the list for the Mapnik code sprint in London this
September. You may have seen Steve Chilton's lightning talk about
cartography improvements at State of the Map last month.
