[OSM-newbies] Splitting streets into one ways--too much?

In the case of a single carriageway for both directions plus shared
turn lane, I would expect only one way.  There are no physical
barriers.

If an island is used at junctions I would consider splitting the way
there, but only for a 'substantial' island.
