If you have Cydia installed on your iPhone/iPod/iPad, you can install and use the 'WiFiFoFum' application for the 'war driving' which is collecting WiFi APs(Access Points) and their respective coordinates.  Once collected in WiFiFoFum, you can then export them(via .csv for example), and then open them up in a spreadsheet or something, and edit the fields to match OSM, and then import them to OSM.
