[OSM-newbies] Default location on Potlatch 2, and lost GPX import ability

I get taken to Hurleston Reservoir too, and I am about 150 miles from
it. I agree it's a nice place (and has historic connotations for the
English canal system), but I would much prefer Potlatch 2 to open either
where I was last time, or at the trace I have just uploaded.
Any advice?
