Thanks for link, I was not aware of this theorem.

Mine initial requirement was damn simple. I did a mapping party for
small city Fazilka, Punjab India, and wanted to show following zone in
city they have created for Eco Cab.

Fazilka Central (Gaushala Road)
Fazilka
Fazilka West (Vaan Bazaar)
Fazilka North (Main Bus Stand)
Fazilka South (Multani Chungi)

and then I wish to extent it at country and state level, as we always
see paper map in that way.
