[OSM-newbies] Help Needed regarding data transfer from GPS to JOSM

I hope you are using gpsbabel to fetch the information from your GPS.
Actually, Garmin GPS saves only track information on the SD card,
while waypoints are stored in GPS' internal memory.

gpsbabel (www.gpsbabel.org) is available for Windows too, and you can
use that. I never used Garmin's mapsource software, instead I prefer
gpsbabel on Linux.
