[OSM-newbies] Where to start development using OSM

Thanks, I will subscribe to dev mailling list then, and I want to develop
my own app using map data may be you misunderstood me, but by developing an
app using OSM I didn't mean to develop an app that shows map but stand
alone apps that uses map like places/foursquare :) thanks for the reply
though :)
