Condition appraisal will very much depend on the regional style of the
wall. The dyker I trained with classified condition on the size of
animal that could get through the holes: lamb (worst; wall is basically
useless), rabbit (repair likely needed), and mouse (probably okay, but
the hearting might have washed out). Some regions (like Cumbria) have
single row walls that look like they'd fall over in a second. Others
have heft, like this Wensleydale example:
