Hi All,

My reaction
is more like Rob and Michael. IMHO there lots of WIKI pages and as a Newbie it
looks like a library without an index. And yes I expect that they all have some
value or did at some moment.

I worked
with P2 so far and got the advice to go to JOSM. For instance, I tried to make
a print of the first welcoming page of JOSM and other instruction pages, what
you need to do or not to get started. Yes I know I’m old fashioned but I’d like
it to do so, but I could make neither a print nor a copy out of the menu. A
short list is below.

-To many
WIKI pages, it’s like a forest.

-Friendly
suggestions as ‘look at the WIKI’ are IMHO discouraging.

-Or what’s
the use of the numbers that are added to the names of the members.

-What’s the
use of the phrase cast over your vote ? Because I didn’t use it, I got a remark
over it, sorry but I’m innocent. 

-There s no
short list of the necessary or read first pages, please NB go ahead.

-What do you
need to make a contribution to OSM ? 

-Yes and I
know I just can’t do it myself, sorry.

-NB without
contributions ? I could imagine at least 2 reasons, consumers, just around to
get some data or discouraged ones who leave it where it all is.

But at the
end I noticed there a lot of programmers around this platform and I don’t expect
to become one, so at the end I just might become a sleeper after all.
