[OSM-newbies] How Do I Handle Outdated Data?

This node represents an amenity that ceased to exist at least 15 years  
ago. I'm planning to update the map to reflect the current usage of that  
property.

Do I simply delete the old node? Or should it be tagged as historical and  
do-not-display? What is the best way to dealnewbies at openstreetmap.org with  
this?
