[OSM-newbies] Speed Limits

Hi
I noted down some speed limits and locations of signs while visiting
Zimbabwe. I am keen to tag it but wanted to clarify something.

After having read the above it seems to me I should:
Mark speed limits on the road
and mark speed sign locations, however in my mind a speed sign has a
direction and nothing is mentioned of direction in the wiki page regarding
direction. Is it possible to incorporate direction in the tag?
