[Osmf-talk] seeking funding ideas

Idea #.....Evangelism bursaries. The bursary pays for an experienced mapper
to go out to a region where there is interest but little experience, say for
a week as a part "work" part "mapping" part "holiday" experience. The person
does the rounds of government, education and open source in a similar way to
what Steve Chilton did in the Caribbean. The individual would be responsible
for planning the trip end to end and the OSMF would mentor to ensure the
funds were spent appropriately. On return the mapper would produce a report
and if possible present findings/experience at SOTM.

The benefit of this is that in rewards everyone, including our own
volunteers, while reaching out, spreading the word and helping others.

Cheers

Andy
