[Osmf-talk] Paid Mapping / WikiPR like issues in OSM?

Hello,
I think the OSM map mostly reflects a situation on the ground. If there
is, say, a factory building or a sport center edifice on the ground,
well, then this is it.
It cannot be made bigger (or smaller) on the map, as we will see it
immediately from aerial imagery of this area.
In Wikipedia, however, one can write a large article about a person or a
concept, which probably does not deserve it at all. And it happens all
the time.
The issue, however, is the up-to-date aerial imagery. I think a
technology like this https://www.sensefly.com will solve this problem
before long (no affiliation).
A quality map of a region contributes to its economy, so everyone,
including a mapper, benefits from it economically.
And if a mapper mapped her/his company on the OSM map, for example a
hotel chain, it also makes sense for her to map infrastructure around
it, like public transportation routes, a park, roads, etc. And it is
useful to anyone, if performed correctly.
With best regards,
O.M.
