[Osmf-talk] Change to WMF Terms of Use: Requirements for disclosure

Hello,

I really wonder if we have the same problem. Ultimately, map data is pretty
much fact and whether it exists or not is a binary statement.
Now, could someone slip "advertisement" like places of all shops of a
specific brand? Yes! Do we care? No, as long as the data is factual.
I don't care if someone is being paid to put data in OpenStreetMap as long
as this data is correct and valid (and this is where we have the data
Working group).
In Wikipedia case, they have a more serious case of having to represent
people or brand, which is something way more subjective. Will adding all
the shop of a particular brand improve that brand? Yes, because it is
easier to find, but no because people would be searching for it in the
first place.
