[Osmf-talk] Recognition of the work done by the board

Dear all,

It seems to me that some people on this mailing list have a distorted
understanding of what the board is there for.

The board is *not* a customer service to address demands and complaints to.
The board is there to make decisions.

The members of the board are unpaid and have no employees to command around
with. They work for us in their free time. It is very time consuming even
to do the day-to-day business of an association like OSMF.

I'm really happy and thankful that they keep the servers running and tackle
legal stuff. They do it very well and deserve recognition for this.

If you have an idea or suggestion, please consider making a draft yourself
and present it to the board. They will adopt it if they find it good. If
they don't adopt it, present it on the General Assembly and/or run for
election yourself. But don't hack around on the board.
