Thank you for publishing the minutes so quickly.
I have some questions regarding the content:
*Loomio*
The minutes (your comment there) say:
> We can take decisions by circular or at a meeting. Circulars are on
> Loomio, used to be on email but changed for more structure
Do you use a self-hosted instance of Loomio or do you pay for it? If you
do not host it on your own, how much do you pay for this service?
*Github*
The minutes say:
> Some would prefer to stay with email.
Who had the idea to use/try Github?
Who wanted to stay with email? (I know that the board previously used a
private mailing list) Who wanted to use this proprietary service called
Github?
Who much money do/will you pay for Github? (I assume that you do not use
a public repository)
Did you evaluated alternatives which are free software?
Why are you going to use a proprietary software althoug there are free
and open source bug tracking systems (e.g. Gitlab, Trac, Bugzilla)? Why
does an organization which wants to support free software and free data
like OSMF try proprietary software? We needed years to get away from
Google Docs and have still not left Google Docs totally and now you (the
board) start using (you call it "try") the next proprietary software!
*Open Voting*
The minutes do not mention open voting. Some of the new board members
stated at
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Foundation/AGM15/Election_to_Board#Transparency
that they support open voting and I assume that at least one member
which was elected last year supports open voting, too.
When are you going to discuss this topic? (It is not listed at the
agenda of your board meeting in January 2016)
Best regards
Michael
