On my side I would suggest, if we are to change bank, to select a 'reasonable bank' with people in mind rather than money and traders.
This may work or not, depending on how they answer Frederik's issues, but in my country (France) we have the Credit Cooperatif, a bank created less than 10 years ago with only ethics in mind, that developed very slowly (my customer # was in the thousands when I joined) but is now quite large and respectable on its own.
There must certainly be a couple of others with similar ambitions in different countries; in France there is also the NEF where I have an account too, but they propose less personal banking services (no ATM cards for instance at the moment) so I'd say it's more strictly for enterprises at the moment.
