Accounting is a bit difficult because it has a built-in time delay that
we don't properly account (ha!) for.
We normally pay quarterly accounting fees plus one invoice for the
yearly financial report, roughly £800-£1200 per quarter and then roughly
£1000 for the year-end stuff.
The 2014 business year was 4 months longer than usual, which means it
had one more quarter. It also required more end-of-year work because two
yearly reports needed generating; but that cost only landed in 2015.
2015, on the other hand, did not have a SOTM so it produced less
accounting work load...
On the whole, £6000 per year is a figure that mostly works for accounting.
Now legal is another matter, it has picked up quite a bit in recent
years as we're registering trademarks in countries where it is more
difficult than just filling out a web form and paying a fee - often, our
UK law firm has to engage a partner firm in the respective country, and
paperwork has to be produced that "proves" that we're really active in
the country; initial registrations are rejected, appeals are written and
so on.
Bye
Frederik
