Mozilla could add the OpenStreetMap to its search options in the Firefox
browser. There is already Wikipedia among these options.
Now if one wants to search for a location on the map he/she has to open
first the OSM website in the Firefox browser and only then make a
search. But if the OSM is included in the Firefox search box, there
could be a direct search of a location in one step.
There is already de fact cooperation between OSM and Wikimedia. For
example, one can add a photo of an object to a Wikimedia general
category like a town of "Chippis
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Chippis>" and then add this
image to a respective object on the OSM map:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/242736881#map=19/46.28035/7.54053 even
though there is no article yet for this roman-catholic church in
Wikipedia. And Wikipedia provides return links from a photo's
geographical coordinates to the location on the OSM map.
Why not start first de facto cooperation between OSM and Mozilla and see
if it works?
Best regards,
Oleksiy
