There were some questions about the distribution of new members during
the membership drive which concluded last month. We only know the
country of all members, so here are the top 5 countries where the new
members came from:

  5 Sweden (2%)
 13 United Kingdom (5%)
 14 India (5%)
 24 Germany (9%)
146 United States (56%)

This is from a total of 263 members who joined in October or November.
By continent:

Africa 4 (2%)
Asia 29 (11%)
Europe 65 (25%)
North America 150 (57%)
Oceania 6 (2%)
South America 9 (3%)
