You are aware that you, Joseph Reeves, Dale Kunce, Pete Masters, John
Crowley and Heather Leson are HOT members while the rest of those
participating in this thread so far are not. This does not mean there
is an agenda but it is not far fetched you might have a common interest
and your view of the situation might be somewhat biased.

Frankly - if you insist on a British/American definition on common
decency i think requiring that would be expressing a lack of tolerance.
Asking for it is not a problem of course, in fact i would strongly
encourage it - sensibility to cultural sensitivities is important and
Severin's mail can be rightfully criticised for a lack of it (specially
since as Simon pointed out it is not the first time he speaks up in
such a form).
Or in short: Asking for it is a good idea - requiring it not.
