[Osmf-talk] 2018 a third episode of entryism by HOT US Inc at OSMF Board after 2015 and 2017: call 4 action (candidates/members) for a balanced OSMF Board

What you write seems to nicely demonstrate how many HOT Members
apparently perceive OpenStreetMap and the local hobby mapper
communities.
The problem with that is that you do not acknowledge or show awareness
of the fact that many local mappers all over the world perceive OSM
very differently. A statement like:
> HOT's role here is even more exciting because HOT currently generates
much of the geographic diversity that is desired within OSMF.
is not only deeply insulting to huge parts of the OSM community, it is
in particular striking that you apparently do not see that it is. You
somehow seem to think that this engineered HOT diversity is a
representation of the diversity of the OSM community.
I mean the very idea of 'generating diversity' is pretty preposterous if
you think about it for a moment.
And frankly whenever someone from HOT starts talking about leadership
and community leaders in the OSM context i am appalled because this so
ostentatiously demonstrates a complete lack of awareness of and respect
for the culture of OSM without central leadership and for the fact that
the role of the OSMF is to serve the OSM community and not to lead it.
For people active in an organization with global activities like HOT
this lack of sensitivity for other cultures is quite remarkable.
