This is true, and the OSMF has indicated that they will issue
"grandfathering" licenses to anyone already using an
"open-something-map" name without much fuss, because it was and is quite
common in OSM circles to create maps derived from OSM for special
purposes, most famously "OpenCycleMap" but also tons of others.

Your use of the name is a bit different in that you don't actually take
data (or at least not your core data) from OSM. So the standard
grandfathering agreement (at
https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Project_Licence_and_Domain_Grandfathering_Application)
would not work for you, as it says "This licence will automatically
terminate if the project ... is no longer mainly based on OpenStreetMap
geodata". Still you could get in touch with LWG to discuss the matter.

Like Christoph, I also think that your use of the term "Open" doesn't
really match the current design of your project. Nobody has a trademark
on "open", but in general people adhere to what you find on the
opendefinition.org web site. It would certainly be a good exercise to
read that web site and ask yourself if your project fits the definition.

Bye
Frederik
