I wanted to bring up two additional points regarding the agenda - i also
bring them up here now because in the meetings comments from guests are
usually only allowed afterwards and these might be useful to have
beforehand.

* FOSS policy compliance - i wanted to remind everyone that this applies
not only to the board but also to the working groups. The policy calls
for a re-evaluation of use of non-open tools and services every two
years but unfortunately it does not require this evaluation to be
publicly documented. Therefore it is not clear to the OSMF members
where such tools and services are used at the moment by the working
groups internally. Where we can see it is for example the LWG minutes
which as i have said before should clearly be moved to OSMF
infrastructure at least for achiving.

* Microgrants update - the fact that we still have no information on
anything specific on the state of this since no minutes of the
face-to-face meetings have been published so far is troubling. I
wanted to point out to the board that not giving the OSMF members and
the OSM community opportunity to review and comment on your plans could
easily mean that you work out something you consider final where people
have serious objections to which could easily undermine the legitimacy
of and support for the program. Giving out money, in particular money
that could also be spent for other purposes, is always a sensitive
matter and i have the gut feeling that you underestimate the importance
of transparency in this field - in depth transparency from the start
and not just an add on "icing on the cake" to make it look good.
