[Osmf-talk] Did GlobalLogic just admit guilt?

Hi Rory,
The wording in the minutes might not have been subtle enough. It is quite
obvious that these memberships were connected to GlobalLogic. It was also
quite obvious that whatever there was to gain from a signup like this, they
were overal damaging to GlobalLogic itself. The Board, GlobalLogic, MWG and
the members who were subscribed in this signup will likely work together to
cancel these memberships associated with GlobalLogic. Through our talks
with the company, we have found what we think is a productive way forward.
I understand feeling the need "to put them on trial", but as a Board, we'd
rather focus on helping to find this company a productive place in the
OpenStreetMap ecosystem. What happened was more in breach of the spirit of
the law than the law itself. I think this sets a fine example for other
companies: we will -not- allow transgressions of the spirit of the project,
but we -will- give companies the chance to make mistakes and learn from
them. Just like we do with anyone involved in the project.
