Hiya,

Clearly, it's too late to do anything for _this_ election.

But you're right. It would be good to have a more privacy preserving 
option, a more free software/open source. If you find one, please feel 
free to recommend it. I'm sure many would like an upgrade. OSM is a 
do-ocracy, you, and all members, should feel empowered and able to make 
suggestions. You don't need anyone's permission! Just do it!
