Does this mean the LWG and the board consider interpreting the ODbL in a
way that would declare what facebook does to be compliant with the
license?

Note i am kind of looking for an answer from someone else here from the
board or LWG since i consider you to have a conflict of interest on
this matter because as everyone knows there are many customers of your
employer who do similar non-attribution or hidden attribution not in
the spirit of being 'reasonably calculated to make sure...'.

Of course you can also see it the other way round and look at it as a
case of shifting baseline syndrome - by demonstrating that you can get
away with hidden attribution in various forms for quite some time now,
corporations have established that as the new norm of what is
acceptable and the OSMF needs to adjust to that independent of what the
ODbL actually says and what the community originally intended when the
license was adopted.
