Even without paying a full-time or part-time iD developer, OSMF has some
influence on the development of iD. openstreetmap.org is the website of
the Foundation. The Foundation can decline to publish a version of iD on
openstreetmap.org if it does not agree with certain things in iD and
thereby guide the development. It just needs the courage to do so which
previous boards have not had.
