[Osmf-talk] OSGeo Oceania Local Chapter application

To be clear, we, as an organisation, would welcome a local chapter in
Oceania to be set up, and would support this chapter as we would support
any group in the region. We see our role as 'enablers' and as such would
work to provide the resources needed for this to happen, if the
local community supported it. To be honest I would see it as a measure of
success.

We do not see our application as being 'exclusive', and would have no issue
in having that clearly documented in any agreement between us and OSMF.

As Ed has documented there are clearly many benefits acting as a
supernational organization in a sparsely populated but extremely large
region.
