My main objection to the original message was the unredacted use of a
rather vulgar street term for genitalia. Had it been replaced with
asterisks or as I did in a blog post[1] with something like
"(genitalia)" that wouldn't be an issue.

The lack of context for non-US readers didn't help and may have led to
people interpreting the message in unfortunate and unexpected ways. I
had no issue with the comparison itself, though the parallel drawn
between the candidate's stand on licensing and DJT's comments on the
leaked tape may also have been interpreted as a slur given the low
opinion of the latter held by many.

In a broader sense, Frederik, I have no problem with you, and I think
what has happened here is unfortunate.
