Dear colleagues, this has been an intense week. Hope you voted.

I am writing today to advise that we heard your feedback about naming
Frederik in our intervention and have updated the Call for Action
Statement. To be honest, this evolved quickly. We were focused on the text
and needs for the community.

On a personal note, it was never my intention to humiliate anyone as one of
the writers. It really was there because we are often asked to provide
examples. Frederik and I are very different, but I can tell you that I
truly appreciate his passion and contribution to OSM, even if we have
different views and versions. I have also been on the receiving end of the
onslaught of notes. I really have more empathy and do want to focus on the
topics at hand.

The text -

"*We write this statement as OSM community groups, contributors and
members, in response to systemic aggressive behaviour that demotivates and
excludes participation by women and other minoritized groups in OSM, as
well as some men. This behaviour degrades the spirit of open community
culture, and damages the OpenStreetMap reputation. The catalyst for
statement was the offensive message sent to the OSM-talk list [footnote
iwth piper link]**, but the systemic behaviours described span many years
and many people." and that way we can focus on the main goal of this
statement.* " [1]

For those of you not on the diversity-talk mailing list, we are having a
casual meet and greet just to be human and talk about a way forward. It
will be at 1500 CET right before the AGM. The link is on that list.

thank you again for your passion for osm

Heather
