This could be a translation issue, but “permanent” is correct here. In 
Ireland & Britain, a “permanent job” doesn't mean a job that never ends, 
or can never end. It means a job without an end date. It'd be compared 
to a job

For example, I would describe my current job as “permanent” 😉.
