+1
With 2.34 million km2 the DRC is the 12 largest country in the world.
More than 2000 km to cross the country from East to West and more than 700
km from South to North.
And yet the OSM-DRC community supports contributors throughout the
territory.
Since 2018, they have helped the young people with whom I mapped North Kivu
and Ituri (health structure and other).
We had quite a bit of data collected from health structures and we had
started mapping towns and villages, with the help of OSM tools (OSMAND,
JOSM,...).
OSM DRC was able to conduct workshops in these remote areas of North Kivu
and Ituri.
This has helped strengthen the skills of young people and further mobilize
the local community.
I wish them success in their activities.
All the best FredM
