Indeed. I find it hard to believe that any employer who wishes to require an employee to vote a certain way will put it in writing or otherwise leave a trail visible to OSMF.

If you attended the OSMF Board meeting yesterday, you won't be surprised that I don't think this proposal is ready for consideration, unnecessary, needs legal review, and is strategically ineffective.

I totally agree that members should be free to vote as they wish.

First, determining intent is just not possible. This will only cast suspicion unnecessarily.

Second, I think the Board already can make decisions like this without any changes. If some definitive malicious actor sock puppets a bunch of members, then under "the board resolves to expel them" we can take action. The is all covered under "Expulsions and appeals". We don't need anything more in the AoA text.

Third, the language of the changes has not undergone any legal review, and there's not enough time to do so before the AGM. While it makes sense to read it, I've learned that in legal text words have distinct meaning. The use of phrases like "free", "their own desires", "contractually bound" need a close eye.
