I'm rehashing something I have said in a similar discussion much earlier.

Mikel is right in that it would be hard to prove any wrongdoing.

But, currently we don't even say explicitly where, in our opinion,
wrongdoing starts.

As things currently stand, an employer could brazenly and publicly say:
"Yes I expect all my employees to vote for candidate X. Of course I do.
And where is it written that this is wrong? You might not like me now.
Many don't like me. That's because I'm disruptive! Disruptive is great.
I'm a great businessman because I don't care for niceties. But I'm doing
nothing wrong. Investors love me. And now stop whining, you're just
jealous."

It should be written that it is wrong. We must never assume that a
corporation acts ethically; we must write it down for them.

The notion that we should extend something like "trust" to a corporation
because "there are nice people working there" is deeply flawed, to say
the least.
